A great house! Old meets updated!! Great breakfast, but if you come in on a Monday, lots of places are closed. We will return! Great hospitality!!!!
Great stay here. Lots of pros that outweigh the cons. I stayed here with my partner. Pros: the room and bathroom are gorgeous, filled with quality furniture and dressings. the breakfast in the morning was great, cooked well and filling. The women I met in those mornings were delightful, helpful, and chatty. The location is out in the country enough to "getaway" but close enough to several small towns to not be left with nothing should you need something. Cons: for starters this is listed as entire place, it is not. it is one room and private bathroom in a bed and breakfast. Currently there is construction happening on the property which for the people who stay there in the day it ruins the country feeling. There isn't communication about the property about what you can and cannot do, for instance there is a gaming house that we had no idea about until leaving. I would stay here again! Especially after the construction is complete. Which I believe is projected to be complete in 2023.
The living and outdoor spaces are amazing. The Ann Catherine room was a real treat, especially the en suite. I recommend working in some relaxation time in the property itself. Hopefully you’ll get to spend time talking to Amy Dant who will give you a wonderful history lesson about her family and the property. You will be very happy if you stay here.
